Great American Comics - 100 Years of American Cartoon Art
This Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service exhibit opened its two year national tour at the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department's Cultural Arts Center, 139 West Main Street. The exhibition which focuses on comis as a graphic narrative, may be viewed by the public from October 15 to November 26, 1989.
Women Practitioners of "The Ungentlemanly Art"
The work of seven women political cartoonists is featured in this exhibition from October 16 - November 30, 1989 in the Philip Sills exhibit Hall, The Ohio State University Main Library, 1858 Neil Avenue Mall. Cartoons by Linda Boileau, Edwina Dumm, Etta Hulme, M.G. Lord, Lillian Mesner, Kate Palmer, and Signe Wilkinson are shown.
