1. Will there be official signings with the speakers?

Due to our packed schedule, we do not have official signings set up, but most of our speakers will be glad to sign their books if you ask politely and if they have time. We will have a table set up at the bookstore where speakers can sign immediately after their presentations if they choose.

2. Where can I purchase the books?

The Wexner Center Bookstore will have a selection of books by each of the Festival speakers available for purchase throughout the Festival.

3. How will I get from the Hotel to the events on OSU’s campus?

We will provide a shuttle/bus that will transport registrants from the Hyatt hotel to the Festival events on OSU’s campus.

Alternatively, there is a COTA bus that runs straight up and down N. High Street . Both the Hyatt and OSU’s campus are located on N. High Street.

4. Where can I park for the Festival?

Public parking is available at the Ohio Union Garage South, which is open to visitor parking at all times. After 4 pm weekdays and on weekends, visitors can also park at the Ohio Union Garage North or Arps Garage. The Ohio Union Garages are located next to each other, between the Ohio Union and the Wexner Center. The Arps Garage is located just north of the Wexner Center complex. Entrances are available to all three from High Street and College Road.

5. Can I attend the Matt Groening and/or Art Spiegelman events, even if I am unable to register for the entire Festival?

Yes, both events are open to the public. Tickets are available from the Wexner Center ticket office. For more information, go to:

Priority seating will be reserved at both events for festival registrants.

6. Can I attend any other single events?

No, single event tickets are not available for the other festival events.

7. Are the Academic Perspectives events for a general audience?

No, not necessarily. Academic Perspectives offers scholars an opportunity to present their comics research to other scholars. Their presentations will not necessarily be aimed at a general audience. However, the keynote address on Thursday afternoon will be more accessible to a general audience.

8. What size are the original drawings for Calvin and Hobbes?

Dailies are 5 ½" x 14" paper and the art is 3 ¾" x 12". Paper size varies for the Sunday pages. Most are on 11" x 14" paper and the art is 9" x 12 ¾".
