In the advanced search, the Location indicates Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum materials. Some collection records link to finding aids.

• Items located in the “Depository-Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum” are also available, but must be requested at least two business days prior to the appointment date to ensure that they arrive in time for your visit.

Search images

Digital Collections  Images of the cartoons, comic strips, photographs, and clippings and other collection items that have been digitized to date (only a small portion of our total collection). Searchable by keyword and by faceted searching.

* Improvements are still in progress so some images may not be available at times. You may also use our Art Database to search for images of original art. If you need assistance in locating the images you need, please contact cartoons@osu.edu We apologize for any inconvenience.

Search multi-cultural resources

Guide to Multi-Cultural Resources  Guide to materials in the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum collection that have been created by artists who are African American, Asian American, Latin/x American, and Indigenous Peoples of the Americas. Each guide is presented in two different organizational structures containing the same content, in order to facilitate varying researcher needs. The first section of each guide is organized by material type (biographical files, original art, archival collections, bound volumes, comic books, online resources, and more), and the second is organized alphabetically by creator.
