Carol Tyler Book Release & Justin Green Open House

Join us for a final chance to see the exhibit, Write it Down, Draw it Out: The Comics Art of Carol Tyler and to celebrate the release of Tyler's most recent graphic novel, The Ephemerata (Fantagraphics, 2025). The Ephemerata draws upon Tyler's own bereavement to bring forth a masterful exploration of uncharted emotional territory for herself and others, in a work that is both painfully intimate and philosophically rich. We will have a special display in our Lucy Shelton Caswell Reading Room of works by Justin Green from the collections of the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum. Green and Tyler are the subjects of the 2023 documentary Married to Comics, available for streaming now.

Write it Down, Draw it Out: The Comics Art of Carol Tyler will be on display until November 9, 2026.
