Join Professor Jared Gardner and Caitlin McGurk for a free curator’s program on Saturday, August 16 at 2:00 PM in the museum galleries, opening day of our new exhibits, Will Eisner: 75 Years of Graphic Storytelling and The Long March: Civil Rights in Cartoons and Comics. Following the talks, Nate Powell, graphic novelist and illustrator of March, will hold a book signing in the main lobby from 3:00-5:00 PM. In 2013 Top Shelf Productions published March, Congressman John Lewis’s graphic memoir, a New York Times Bestseller co-written by Andrew Aydin, and illustrated by Nate Powell, about his experiences as a leader and activist in the movement.
