Exhibition Proposals

At this time, we are only accepting invited proposals for exhibitions.

Our exhibition program prioritizes projects that:

Promote engagement with or development of the permanent collection or bequeathed materials
Support teaching and learning in partnership with Ohio State University departments
Draw primarily from the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum collections

Single-artist exhibitions may be considered for artists whose work has made a meaningful contribution to the world of comics or cartoon art, and is already part of our collection or has been formally bequeathed to the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum.

We may also consider traveling exhibitions that align with institutional programming—such as conferences, symposia, or curricular goals developed in collaboration with OSU departments.

Please note that our exhibition schedule is typically planned at least two years in advance.
