Our Traveling Exhibits Program Mission
Recognized for its impact on the comics and cartoon art community, The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum’s traveling exhibitions program supports its institutional partners and their communities by providing expertly curated exhibitions —highlighting original artwork by cartoonists—that ignites curiosity, wonder, and interest in learning more about varied subjects and points of view through the medium of comics and cartoon art.
What Our Visitors Are Saying
“I have just gone to see the Shermund exhibit at the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, PA. What a vivid world Shermund created with her black and white drawings and what a wonderful gift it was to be able to walk through and be transported back through her lens. I found myself envisioning the parties and shopping trips, laughing with the women about their husbands... relating to her sweet sarcasm. It feels so relevant and endearing and relatable for all women, even today.”
